Australia’s largest scale Pink Floyd concept show entitled Echoes of Pink Floyd will finally tour its two-hour full scale concert production nationally in 2018 taking in Capital Cities and many major Regional towns.
Celebrating 35 years since Pink Floyd last toured “The Wall”, Echoes of Pink Floyd will perform tracks from the band’s iconic 1979 album and will engage local schools to provide the “Brick in the Wall” choir. The tour also celebrates 50 years since Pink Floyd released their first album and will play a selection of Pink Floyd’s greatest hits that spans the band’s momentous career.
Synchronised to the music and designed to recreate the sights and emotions of a genuine Pink Floyd concert, Paul says, “It’s not just the music, it’s the circle, the show and the whole experience.” “We are the only act that is touring trussing that supports this incredible 4 metre circle that can project 6000 lumens video. It really is a show not to be missed.”
Several years in development and having accumulated over 5000 hours of rehearsal time to perfect these songs, Echoes of Pink Floyd comprises a six-piece band – featuring Daniel Hunter on lead guitar; Jason Miller on drums; Mark Dole on bass; Paul Bindig on keyboards and synthesisers; Mark MacNab on rhythm and acoustic guitar and Matt Goodluck on lead vocals – whose aim is to authentically replicate the brilliant sights and sounds of one of the world’s greatest progressive rock bands of all time, Pink Floyd. The Adelaide tribute has been garnering attention from attention since they began in 2009, with audiences describing the show as “one of the best” and “a musical and visual journey that never disappoints”, whilst also likening them to “the original band”.
Echoes of Pink Floyd’s Daniel Hunter says, “Each member of the band loves and respects what the original Pink Floyd gave to the world with their music and we want to bring this to life for the audience who may not have had a chance to experience a Pink Floyd concert”. “We aim to ensure every aspect of the original Pink Floyd music is captured authentically, he adds”.
Bass guitarist Mark Dole says, “At core, we are looking at the legacy of the music. Our vision and desire is to keep this music alive so it will be remembered for generations to come. We want to stand up as the next representatives of these guys in the 21st century, by being the truly authentic Pink Floyd concept show for Australia”.
